Kim Davis has been studying bobbin lace for 20 years in a wide variety of techniques with American, Candadian and European teachers. She began making lace in wire thirteen years ago. Kim is teaching wire lace workshops, designing in wire and studying the old laces. Kim has published numerous articles for the I.O.L.I Bulletin and is currently the youth column editor.
Unlike many other wire workerss, Kim does not come from an art background, but a teaching background. Kim’s workshops focus on teaching basic through advanced wire handling techniques as well as translating traditional lace patterns for wire work.
